1. Chateau-Yurt Offers Ample Space and Privacy

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: White Salmon, WA

Price: $175 avg. per night

Sleeps: 4

Chateau-Yurt is a hub of wilderness seclusion located in White Salmon. This 18-sided cabin provides a way to enjoy the wilderness respite in a convenient space with all the amenities you’d need for comfort and relaxation.

From inside, you can access a fully stocked bathroom equipped with a roll-in shower. There’s quite a bit of furniture inside and on the deck for relaxation. Also included is a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessities you need, including an oven and other necessary appliances.

The exterior and interior construction consists mainly of materials gathered from the surroundings. Wood is the primary construction material, making this a particularly great option for lovers of rustic elegance.

The main selling point of this glamping site is privacy. It sits right in the middle of the forest, a short distance from the Columbia River Gorge. For your information, this river is famous for the bucolic villages that run along its shores, waterfalls, and beautiful scenery.

Columbia River Gorge’s tributaries, Klickitat and White Salmon, are only a few miles away from the Yurt, too. Both are great options when you’re feeling adventurous, offering water sports such as:

  • Canoeing
  • Fishing
  • Kayaking
  • Swimming
  • White water rafting

2. Olympic Tiny House Has a Great Location

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: Sequim, WA

Price: $137 per night

Sleeps: 4

Tucked away in Sequim, the Olympic Tiny House is every hiker’s dream “home.” It combines two essential aspects of a five-star glamping experience: excellent accommodation and proximity to great hiking spots.

For accommodation, the Tiny House comes with two sleeping lofts. One of these has two twins and the other a queen, making this one of the best glamping sites for small to medium-sized families. A heated floor, a front porch, and beautiful pine surfaces are part of the package to add to the charm.

This site’s location is one of the main reasons hikers can’t seem to get enough of it. It sits right on the border of the Olympic National Park, an excellent destination for day hiking and wilderness backpacking. Also, mountain biking and horseback riding spots are less than ten minutes away (when driving).

3. Forest Yurt Nature Retreat Is Secluded But Family-Friendly

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: Clinton, WA

Price: $104 per night

Sleeps: 4

Forest Yurt Nature Retreat is another option for individuals seeking a simplistic, rustic getaway surrounded by nature. This family-friendly spacious glamping site is hidden in coniferous trees on a 24-acre (9.71-hectare) farm in Clinton (Whidbey Island).

And while its secluded location might make you feel like you’ve left the world behind, it’s only a few miles off the town of Langley town, the ferry, beaches, and some exciting hiking grounds. So not only do you get to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life but also stay within range of a plethora of fun activities.

The accommodation doesn’t disappoint either. The Yurt comes with double insulation and heating to ensure all-season comfort. And when it’s freezing, you can always fire up the wood stove for extra warmth and extra rustic charm. Completing the accommodation package is a full-scale fridge, fire pit, mini kitchen, a king-size bed, and an outdoor cedar sauna.

4. Mountain Airstream Has Guests Sleeping in a Rustic Caravan

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: North Bend, WA

Price: $125 per night

Sleeps: 2

If you prefer modern to rustic when it comes to Airbnb glamping sites, the mountain Airstream may be just what you need. This shiny modern camper in North Bend comes with classic decor, a bathroom, and a fully-stocked kitchen.

What sells this space is its location.

North Bend is all about outdoor fun. Activities such as trail running, fly fishing, hiking, and mountain biking are readily accessible from the foothills of the cascades where the mountain sits. It’s also worth mentioning that Snoqualmie River is only a quarter-mile (0.40 km) away.

Downtown North Bend is a few minutes away on foot, where you’ll find restaurants, boutiques, breweries, coffee shops, and pretty much anything you’ll want from a town. If you don’t, Seattle is also an option, but it might take some driving since it’s 30 miles away.

5. The Hideaway Tent Has an Indoor Hot Tub and a Pool

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: College Place, WA

Price: $118 per night

Sleeps: 4

Located in College Place, the Hideaway Tent provides the rugged appeal of traditional camping but in a much more convenient and comfortable way. This luxury tent comes in dimensions of 16′ x 20′ (4.89 m to 6.1 m) to provide adequate space for accommodation, as well as a canopy porch for lounging.

Several facilities are included for all-year comfort. An evaporative cooler is equipped to help with temperature regulation during those hot summer days, as well as a 30,000 btu gas fireplace to help keep warm when it’s cold. Other essentials include a fridge, a queen bed, a coffee maker, running water, a sink, a TV, and all the utensils required for light cooking.

But while all these amenities are great for comfort and convenience, the stand-out features are the indoor hot tub and pool. Wifi is also available, which is great since many Airbnb staycations (including some of the options we’ve discussed here) don’t provide that.

6. Strawbale Cottage Offers a Unique Rustic Experience

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: White Salmon, WA

Price: $151 per night

Sleeps: 4

The Strawbale Cottage takes “rustic” to a whole new level. This handbuilt work of art is made of lime plaster, strawbale, cedar shake, and sheep’s wool, but its simplistic construction is by no means a compromise to elegance.

And, it’s not just good to look at: the accommodation is top-drawer, too! There are two queen-size beds, one on the main floor and the other in the loft. A private patio is also part of the package, from where you can see the natural beauty of Mt. Hood and Mill Creek Valley.

Perhaps the only flaw with this cottage is that it doesn’t have a bathroom and a kitchen inside. However, those two amenities are still available at a covered pavilion just a few yards away from the unit.

7. Moroccan Wall Tent Features a Luxurious Moroccan Theme

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: Greenbank, WA

Price: $239 per night

Sleeps: 2

The name alone is enough to make you curious, isn’t it? However, there’s more to the Moroccan Wall Tent than just an interesting name.

Located in Greenbank (Whidbey Island), this is not your every day 14 by 16-foot (4.27 by 4.88-meter) safari tent; it has a luxurious Moroccan theme indoors, a plush sofa, a queen-sized bed, more blankets than you need, and a mini heater to keep things warm and cozy. A covered patio is also part of the package, along with a firepit and comfortable lounge furniture.

All these features make for a perfect for a couples getaway, a creative hub to write a bestseller/curl up with one, or a refreshment stop when touring the island.

8. C+A+V+E Is an Actual Cave

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.

Location: Leavenworth, WA

Price: $290 per night

Sleeps: 8

Rounding up things is hands down the most unique Airbnb space on the list. The C+A+V+E is an apartment built into an actual cave!

This creative housing solution is located in Leavenworth, WA. And while it’s built-in a cave, the accommodation is nothing like the cold, damp images from earlier civilizations you might have in mind. It has two bedrooms, four beds, a heated floor plus a walk-in shower in the bathroom, a cozy living room with comfy furniture, and a full kitchen.

To complete the cave experience, guests will get to enjoy two fireplaces. One is in the living room, and the other is close to the beautiful cavern hot tub. Imagine getting lost in its flickering flames and those of tiki torches lining the rock “walls” as you soak in the tub! Worth every penny.
